We are hiring project-based

We are hiring project-based.

The Owls Cooperative’s mission, informed by a strong sense of social responsibility, is to share and implement its expertise and experience relating to innovation and breakthrough processes with professionals. We have developed our own method for this purpose called The Owls Breakthrough Method©. We are currently expanding our operations and are looking for a multitalented professional to assist us with research and training.

Are you the smart, can-do professional who will take our ambitious start-up to the next level?

Innovation doesn’t just happen – it’s planned for. The Owls seeks to foster awareness among businesses, organisations and the government and create a context in which innovations are identified, welcomed, encouraged and implemented in a professional manner. We aim to contribute to this by sharing our knowledge and experience and conducting research with a social impact on future generations. To support this, we have developed several tools.

We believe that innovations and breakthroughs should be part of any ongoing discussion about improvement. Innovation should be on the agendas of the corporate, education and healthcare sectors as well as government and the political sphere. The Owls aims to achieve this in the following ways:

  • Designing and conducting research based on The Owls Breakthrough Method©
  • Sharing expertise and experience by giving masterclasses and workshops, hosting informal discussion sessions, and creating applications, presentations and publications
  • Ongoing development of The Owls Breakthrough Method© and the practical tools required to apply this method

Responsibilities
You consider working with businesses, managers and political organisations that are involved in developing innovations and breakthroughs with a major social impact to be the ultimate challenge. You have a passion for research, a gift for analysing results, and you are as skilled at compiling your findings into an engaging presentation as you are adept at giving practical advice. You know how to use your teaching skills to transform theoretical knowledge into hands-on tools and solutions. Being inquisitive and client-focused, you’re eager to use newfound knowledge to keep improving and perfecting our research method.

Does this sound like just the right challenge for you, and would you like to be part of the talented team at The Owls? If you meet the requirements for this role, we encourage you to apply.

Professional requirements
To be successful in this position, you must possess the following knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and preferably recent practical teaching experience (ideally in the IT field)
  • Natural gift for coaching and training
  • You feel responsible and take ownership until you have delivered a meaningful and substantial result
  • You have an innate drive to make a difference in society and believe in the power of collaboration to make the world a better place
  • You have experience in digital education, an interest in social media and are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • You’re unafraid to take risks and can think on your feet
  • You have extensive knowledge of and experience with research, especially qualitative research (i.e. conducting interviews, analysis and writing), and can clearly communicate the gist of an analysis
  • You’re empathetic and can effortlessly adapt your communication style to stakeholders at different levels as needed
  • You have strong data-analysis skills and know how to use technology to create workable solutions for clients
  • You have an excellent spoken and written command of Dutch and English (CEFR level C1 or C2)

What we offer:

  • Competitive pay commensurate with the role of trainer/researcher/advisor in a fast-growing organisation
  • High level of responsibility and freedom in an ego-free work environment based on independence, collegiality, commitment and a focus on development
  • Expert supervision by a highly experienced teacher/researcher
  • Access to an extensive network of professional organisations operating in the corporate, NGO and government sectors

While it should be understood that this is not a staff position, we will enter into a contract for services with you. To be able to provide services to The Owls Cooperative, you will require a Certificate of Good Behaviour (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag/VOG).

Is this your kind of challenge?
