On 9 November 2017 President of the University of Groningen Sibrandes Poppema, MD, PhD awarded Owls Chairman Henk van den Breemen the Nicolaas Mulerius Medal for his exceptional contributions to the University of Groningen at the start of the 8th Annual Alliance for Healthy Aging Conference. The Nicolaas Mulerius Foundation promotes the flourishing of the University of Groningen as a classical, internationally operating, academic teaching and research institution with a broad, cultural image.
